EPREL representative for products with energy labels
Since 1 January 2019, affected energy-related products have had to be registered in the EPREL product database. This applies to affected equipment placed on the market for the first time in the European Economic Area (EEA). The EPREL registration must be made in the EPREL product database before the product is placed on the market.
This means that both producers and importers are subject to mandatory registration. Companies not established in the EEA cannot register themselves in the EPREL product database, but need an authorised representative. The latter must be established in the EEA. The authorised representative carries out the registration on behalf of the producer.
The company get-e-right GmbH is a service provider that offers you the service as an EPREL authorised representative. You may appoint get-e-right as your authorised representative under Regulation (EU) 2017/1369. We will therefore take care of a large number of your legal obligations. Our services as an EPREL authorised representative
- Status of the authorised representative under Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 for the European Economic Area as a whole
- Review of data and documents received for completeness (Where necessary and requested by the customer, trade-e-bility GmbH will commission test laboratories to prepare the required test reports.)
- Registration of your product in the European product database for energy labelling (EPREL product database)
- Provision of the energy labels and product data sheets in the languages you require in digital form (provided the EPREL product database already enables the items in question to be generated in the desired national language)
- Storage of information and technical documentation of the product model for up to 15 years beyond the commissioning period in the conformity section of the EPREL product database as well as a secure database provided by get-e-right GmbH
- Managing the cooperation and, if necessary, taking care of communication with the market surveillance authorities in order to steer the measures and/or enquiries.
